Implemented in Verona schools, this project consists in free volleyball courses for primary school children, held by professional trainers during school hours. The project, with the patronage of Province and Town Council of Verona, has been developed in collaboration with the Verona sport society VIVIgas Arena Volley.

These courses, designed to introduce the children to the volleyball fundamentals while having fun, have an approach privileging the playful side of the sport.

The sporting labs are divided in two cycles according to the pupils’ age. Younger (6-8 years) pupils enjoy the possibility of practicing the basics of motricity: simple movement games through which to confront oneself and learn the importance of team play. Older (8-10 years) pupils, instead, start learning the first rules of volleyball, through simple games that will familiarize them with the techniques and the key values of sport
